Previous deployments have demonstrated that LSBS can increase productive working time by 500% thereby dramatically reducing the cost of a job. With careful planning project costs can be reduced by as much as 50%. Having successfully gained full approval for its use and an operational safety plan established, commissioning the LSBS for your project is a simple generic process and our project team will be at hand to support you.
Salient features of the “LIVIS SAFETY BARRIER SYSTEM” are:
Safety Features Shock absorbers – reduces forces applied to the surface that the barrier is fixed to during an incident. It also discourages the propping, standing or leaning of items/personnel against the barrier. Standby pump - In the event of a failure of the duty pump a standby pump can be manually selected. Manual struts - the attachment of manual struts when the barrier is free standing (without suction applied) ensures that the barrier remains in position if suction/vacuum is lost. These are placed at every second vacuum base. Visual and audible alarm - if a massive vacuum loss or power supply failure occurs, a Piezo alarm (100 dbA, warble) will sound and xenon light (1 Hz flashing) will flash. Trained personnel - whilst working in safety critical environments the barrier must be attended and monitored by a trained operative. Commissioning the LSBS for your project is a simple generic process which allows you to plan platform closures quickly and with ease.
