St Mary's Curve

Fourways Communication was commissioned by LU / Metronet to provide a design for the enhancement of the IT across the Throat of St Mary’s Curve.

The Scope of the installation works for the design is broadly defined below:

• To dig trackside ballast for cast concrete bases for new TT posts
• To install new TT brackets
• To install new TT wire to plastic insulators fitted to posts and wall brackets
• To Install new handsets on platforms of St Marys disused station
• To install Luminaires for the TT handsets
• To install all associated cabling for TT feed cables and luminaire supplies
• System testing and BIU with LU / MR DLO
  
  The following materials were used to complete these works:
• Bags of C40 concrete premix
• Fabricated and galvanised TT posts and wall brackets
• Chem-fix studs and chemical anchors
• TT handsets
• Handset luminaires
• TT feed cable
• Luminaire power cable

All works were carried out in engineering hours.
