This high profile project was to extend and re-construct the existing inspection pits to accommodate the new train for the Victoria line, that are to go into operation in 2009. It was key that all works were within programme and exactly as designed to allow for testing and service of the new train.

We carried out precise cutting techniques using a diamond wire saw to create door openings through the solid concrete wall underneath the running track. The key was not to touch the track

Completed openings with steel supports inserted for supporting the running rail, we fabricated and installed a purpose made staircase for easy access into the inspection pits.

A specially designed Overbridge and handrails were Fabricated and installed for safe pedestrian access over the inspection area.
