"Livis Limited were contracted to Vinci Construction UK (VCUK) to deliver the civils and structural engineering (including ground works) and architectural elements of the Baker Street S8 project, the key enabler of the SSR Upgrade Programme (SUP) for the Metropolitan line. Livis Limited undertook the works in a diligent and professional manner and worked collaboratively with the VCUK and LU project teams at all times, ensuring that the works were effectively planned and implemented minimising the risk to the operational railway. Livis Limited were a key factor in the overall success of the project which has been shortlisted for a National Rail Award (Civils Category) following nomination by LU and I have no reservation I recommending them for works of a similar nature within the LU environment". "I wanted to thank you and LIVIS for your deliveries towards the completion of the humps project for the Victoria Line. We are now the first, and currently the only, line to be fully compliant with DDA step free requirement. Your support and those of your team and management have been exemplary and went a long way towards being a standard to aim for and reach. I am confident that your performance in future projects will be as good if not better. Thank you again and please pass on my thanks and well done to your team(s)". London Underground – 4th July 2011
"Just a quick email to say thanks and well done to all for the contribution to complete Wimbledon during the two possessions this year. Wimbledon as an RVAR site in my opinion sits as one of the best installations to date. The quality of the work is exceptionally high, which has earned a lot of praise from the TOC and NWR Livis as one of our preferred contractors continue to prove that they can increase their already very high standard of work for the RVAR project, they continue to work closely with the project team to reduce costs, minimise any increases on site and maintain flexibility to react quickly when any deviances occur from the design when in construction". "Moor Park was considered a little special due to the proximity of the residents and the fact that the station build was originally funded by local community. London Underground made the decision to defer Moor Park from engineering hours to a weekend closure to avoid any potential complaints. This decision was justified and work was delivered to a very high quality with commendable site management. One of the platform humps was the highest constructed to date and was the first concrete plinth we have cast to obtain the height raise. The two rises on each platform were then blended to a common central drain. Despite losing 2 hours on the programme by the end of Saturday and due to the poor weather; the works were handed back to operations 4-5 hours ahead of schedule on Monday evening. The works approvals were complete with NOWRI inspection, both of which were GREEN. An excellent effort by all and very credible achievement by Livis; our on site contractor who now have good experience on RVAR works and obviously have developed with each job; evident by this being the first Green NOWRI at completion of the works. Thanks to all including our designers who through the design process tried various options to find the most effective solution that could be delivered in the least time on site". London Underground - 1st June 2010 "I would like to express my thanks for the work Livis have carried out. Livis have managed their allocated work packages in a proactive manner, which has ensured that the tight project timescales and milestones have been adhered to at all times. Your management team has worked in an efficient and collaborative manner and your site teams have ensured that the works have been completed in accordance with the project's quality requirements, whilst maintaining excellent standards of site safety. I look forward to working with you on future opportunities and would have no hesitation in recommending Livis to others in the future". Taylor Woodrow - 11th June 2009 |
